R-way® Spreads Quality Control to Colposcopy Screening Procedure

The quality of CIN2+ detection relies on the sensitivity, accuracy, and consistency of colposcopy. Hence, the quality control of the CIN2+ detection is highly significant, especially in resource-constrained regions where primary gynecologists are not expected to improve in a short period of time.

With the R-way® system, colposcopy shows higher sensitivity at detection of CIN2+

The sensitivity of R-way® (77.8%) was significantly higher than with the conventional colposcopic method (46.6%) for CIN2 + detection. (Table 1) (χ2=64.351, P<0.001)

R-way® system assists in making a more accurate diagnosis

During colposcopy, the gynecologist identifies the appeared features in each step and marks them in real-time if required via the R-way® system. Then the captured images can be analyzed using the pathology-based R-way® specialized database, and a more objective result will be drawn.

R-way® system improves the coincidence rate of trainees for cervical lesions diagnosis

After R-way® training, the average coincidence rate (78.28±7.37%) of trainees was increased by 14.98% compared with the average coincidence rate (63.30±13.07%) before training (t=9.59, P <0.001). (Table 2)

In conclusion, the diagnostic value of the R-way® evaluation system is higher than that of conventional colposcopic evaluation in cervical cancer screening. Moreover, the R-way® system is highly preferable when it comes to quality control management and user experience.
